Holness’ JLP win Jamaica’s General Elections


    Andrew Holness will return as Jamaica’s Prime Minister as the Jamaica Labour Party won yesterday’s General Elections in a landslide victory.

    The Jamaica Gleaner reported that the JLP had won 49 seats compared to the People’s National Party’s 14.

    The Electoral Office of Jamaica said the overall voter turnout was approximately 37 per cent, compared to 48.37 per cent in the 2016 General Election.
