As of noon today, the Health Ministry will suspend all non-essential services, such as outpatient clinics at both hospitals and health centres.
In a media release, this measure is being taken due to the issuance of a tropical storm warning for T&T.
The Ministry says, however, that all Accident and Emergency locations, inpatient hospital services and emergency ambulance services will remain available.
It is also advising patients to remain compliant with all their medication as prescribed by their doctor.
Persons are also urged to avoid contact with flood waters to reduce the risk of contracting water-borne diseases such as gastroenteritis and leptospirosis.
