Phoenix Park Gas Processors Ltd will be donating cancer equipment to the Health Ministry after a signing ceremony on Wednesday.
The Ministry says the multi-million dollar donation includes equipment that enables local doctors to pursue accurate diagnoses and testing for cancer patients.
It believes the latest move will enhance the detection rate for the disease, as well as improve treatment and patient care.
The equipment is being donated along with training and commissioning support to the Ministry.
Signatories to this agreement are expected to include representatives from the Health Ministry, Phoenix Park Gas Processors Ltd and General Electric (who are the manufacturers of the equipment).
