The Ministry of Health is urging citizens to come out to the Mt Hope Women’s Hospital for a fun walk on Saturday August 3rd, 2019.
It says the walk is in honour of World Breastfeeding week, observed annually from August 1st to the 7th.
This year’s theme ‘Empower Parents, Enable Breastfeeding’ was chosen to be inclusive of all types of parents in today’s world.
With regards to the Ministry’s walk, persons who want to take part have to pre-register on the website: www.eventbrite.com
They are asked to be at the hospital for 7am and the first 500 registered participants will be treated to free breakfast.
There will also be a child’s play area and educational sessions.
The fun walk is being hosted by the Ministry in collaboration with the Breastfeeding Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
