Health Minister: World Health Day underscores need for equity in healthcare

    Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh

This year’s World Health Day underscores the need for those in authority to ensure equitable healthcare delivery.

This is according to Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh in his message in commemoration of the day today.

He believes the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that inequality still exists in the distribution of health services, especially for the economically and socially vulnerable.

Mr Deyalsingh says, this year’s theme, “Building a fairer, healthier world” shows that world leaders, administrators and medical providers must commit to equally distributing services.
