Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says there will be an immediate audit of all outpatient appointments at the Eric Williams Medical Complex.
He says there will also be a review of the appointment system and a move to strengthen tele-medicine services.
His assurances came in the Parliament today, following recent reports of repeated appointment postponements at the facility in Mt Hope.
According to Mr Deyalsingh, the measures come after an emergency meeting held yesterday afternoon with the NCRHA Board and Executive Management team.
Mr Deyalsingh also insisted that T&T’s health system was faring well in the pandemic, when compared to those in other countries around the world.
