Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has lambasted a woman who posted a video to social media over the weekend, showing her and relatives on what she insisted was their private beach.
He referred to her as “a clear and present threat” and “the worst of young people in T&T”.
Mr Deyalsingh also called on persons to adhere to the spirit of the laws that have been put in place, instead of looking for loopholes.
Mr Deyalsingh also referred to the decision not to impose another shutdown, saying such a move kills the economy.
After the video was posted, the TTPS issued a statement reminding that all beaches, rivers, and water parks remain closed in accordance with the Public Health Ordinance regulations.
It also emphasized that “there is nothing as a private or public beach.”
