The Ministry of Health has confirmed the hardware stores, which has been closed for the past week, will remain closed.
There had been questions emanating from the public regarding the reopening of hardwares, given the Prime Minister’s initial statement that such outlets would be closed for a week.
The Minister of Health, in a statement on Sunday, says at present, hardware stores remain CLOSED pursuant to regulation 3(8) of the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021 made by Her Excellency the President on May 29th, 2021 by Legal Notice No. 176 under section 7 of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
