Half a million dollars in marijuana destroyed in San Juan

Over half a million dollars worth of marijuana trees and seedlings have been destroyed in San Juan.

Between 12am and 4pm on Friday, officers went to an abandoned house at Petit Curacaye, where they conducted a search.

They found 25 kilograms of dried marijuana hidden in the building.

They then ventured about 50 meters through a track at the back of the house, where they found three marijuana fields consisting of 300 fully grown marijuana trees and 2,000 seedlings.

The trees, seedlings, and dried marijuana – worth an estimated $550,000 – were subsequently destroyed.
