No requests to host events will be entertained by the Police Commissioner, especially over the next 21 days.
Mr Gary Griffith’s comments at today’s TTPS briefing come a day after government announced COVID-19 measures for a period of three weeks.
These include the closure of beaches, the removal of in-house dining at restaurants, bars, cinemas and casinos and the reduction of public gatherings from 10 to five persons.
According to Mr Griffith, persons should avoid sending requests to host events during this time.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed by the TTPS that since September 2020, there have been 7,093 tickets issued for failure to wear a mask.
