Gender Affairs Minister Ayanna Webster-Roy has raised concern about the distribution of “certain social media clips.”
In her statement, no specific information was provided but the Minister warned that it is illegal to capture and distribute photos or videos of another person without their consent.
Furthermore, she urged people who believe they have been exposed to HIV to seek testing, psychosocial support and risk reduction intervention and treatment.
Minister Webster-Roy said people can call the HIV Helpline at 800-4HIV for confidential guidance.
