A man found with a gunshot wound in Freeport this morning died while undergoing treatment at hospital.
The Newsday reports that around 12:15 am today, police responded to residents’ reports of gunshots and upon checking, they discovered Sanjay Saransingh lying along Uquire Road.
He was still alive but had an injury on the neck and was rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where he died.
According to the report, police say Saransingh was a known offender for robbery, breaking and entering and firearm possession.
The Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 is probing the circumstances surrounding his death.
