Four arrested for attemping to break into a Mayaro shop


    Four persons were arrested on Friday in connection with an attempt to break open a shop in Mayaro.

    Around 3:20am, officers responded to a report of an alarm being set off at a shop in Radix Village.

    Upon arrival, they observed three persons, two of whom had in their possession a pig foot and one a bolt cutter.

    The suspects hastily entered a waiting vehicle and drove off speedily, but the officers chased them and intercepted the car.

    Four male occupants of the vehicle ranging in ages from 21 to 29 years old were held.
