Focus groups planned to ascertain TT views on vaccines

With expectations that COVID-19 vaccination could begin in the region in the first quarter of 2021, focus groups will be done to find out what Trinbagonians think about vaccines.

Speaking at today’s Health Ministry media briefing, Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says the “anti-vaxxer” conversation is alive.

He notes that this was even seen in a recent “man-on-the-street” interview done by a local daily newspaper.

As such, Mr Deyalsingh says the focus groups will look into three specific areas which will then guide public education campaigns.

Meanwhile, also at the briefing, UWI Professor Christine Carrington warns about avoiding vaccination.
