Floods were reported in parts of Central and South Trinidad today following heavy showers.
103.1FM News understands there were reports of street flooding Marabella, Edinburgh 500, parts of Chaguanas, Carapichaima, Todd’s Road, Las Lomas, and near the Tarouba Flyover.
The waters in some instances have since receded.
The MET Service says areas that are still flooded can expect to see levels subsiding after the high tide at 5:26pm.
Its weather forecast is for a clear and cool night that will gradually give way to cloudy conditions with intermittent showers after midnight.
There is the 60% (medium) chance of a thunderstorm during the pre-dawn hours.
Tomorrow meanwhile may see a few heavier showers and thunderstorms during the early to mid-afternoon period in some areas.
