Five Trinbagonian men have allegedly been implicated in a bank robbery in Grenada’s dependency of Carriacou.
In a press statement issued yesterday, MP for Carriacou & Petite Martinque Kindra Maturine-Stewart said law enforcement captured the suspects at sea during their attempted getaway.
They had allegedly robbed the Grenada Co-Operative Bank at Hillsborough.
MP Maturine-Stewart stated that officials will review some of the local security operations as it is the second time in two years that the community has been jolted by what has been described as “a cross border raid by regional criminal elements.”
No one was physically hurt during Monday’s incident.
