Fisherman charged with sex crime

    A 60-year-old fisherman was granted $350,000 bail as he appeared in court today charged with a sexual offence.

    He has also been ordered to stay away from the Palo Seco area by Siparia Magistrate Aden Stroude.

    On September 10th 2020, a man reported to police that his cousin, a boy, had been sexually assaulted.

    Following an investigation by the South Western Division Child Protection Unit, the accused was held and charged with one count of sexual penetration.

    He will reappear before the court on July 8th.
