Phase 1 of the Valencia to Toco Highway has officially been commissioned, with the Works Minister underlining the benefits of new roadways.
This part of the ongoing highway, according to Mr Hayden Phillip of the PURE Unit, includes the widening of the roadway, installation of shoulders and the repair of slope instabilities.
Speaking at this morning’s commissioning ceremony, Works Minister Rohan Sinanan explained that neighbouring Sangre Grande has already benefited from new road infrastructure.
He then explained the next step in the building of the Valencia to Toco Highway.
Speaking following the ceremony, the Minister provided an update on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway Extension.
