Finance Ministry asked to find $10m to support bar and restaurant workers

The Finance Minister has been tasked with finding $10 million to provide financial support to bar and restaurant employees.

Speaking at Saturday’s COVID-19 media briefing, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley said bars will continue to be open, operating via take-away services only.

He notes that the state is looking to provide some relief for employees that have been affected by the restrictions.

Dr Rowley says persons who own these establishments should use existing support.
