Fallen trees, damaged home in Tobago following gusty winds


    There have been reports of fallen trees and damaged homes in Tobago, in the wake of gusty winds.

    According to TEMA, a roof was partially blown off at a residential home in Pembroke at approximately 12.50pm, while a tree fell on a house in Battery Street, Buccoo at approximately the same time.

    A fallen tree was also reported at Concordia Estate and Charlotteville; while a tree branch was blown onto the roadway, obstructing traffic at the entrance of the Magdalena Grand Hotel on the Claude Noel Highway.

    Meanwhile in Trinidad, there were reports of flooding following heavy showers this morning.

    Areas affected included Wrightson Road and Edward Street in Port of Spain, Saddle Road in Santa Cruz, and parts of Cocorite.
