The Evaluation Committee appointed by Cabinet to evaluate the Request For Proposals for the use of the Point-a-Pierre refinery, will examine the latest proposal from Patriotic Energies.
On Sunday, OWTU President General Ancel Roget called for the Committee to review the proposal, which has been rejected by the Government.
According to the Energy Ministry, the Committee is “required to examine the latest position of the negotiating parties as they stood at the established deadline of October 31st, 2020.”
It adds that this examination and any subsequent recommendations will be separate from the work and determination of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, which has also received the submissions.
The comments and recommendations of the reconstituted Evaluation Committee will be submitted directly to the Cabinet, with the review to be completed and submitted by November 30th.
