Tony Lewis, lead singer of the 1980s power pop band The Outfield, has died at age 62.

According to Billboard, a statement from a spokesperson said Lewis died “suddenly and unexpectedly” near London.

The Outfield is known for hits such as “Your Love”, “Say It Isn’t So”, “All The Love” and “Since You’ve Been Gone”.

Lewis has also visited Trinidad and Tobago, performing in May 2019 as part of a line-up for the show The Rock Pack.

That event was organized by Ganchan Pirmal of Tank Sound Co. who paid tribute to Lewis saying “your music will live on. Was a pleasure bringing you to Trinidad after 21 years”.
