Taylor Swift is releasing her second surprise album of 2020 at midnight.
Titled ‘Evermore’ she described it as a “sister album” to ‘Folklore’, which also arrived out-of-the-blue in July.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Swift said the new 17-track collection featured songs from the same sessions.
I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore.

Recorded remotely in quarantine, ‘Folklore’ topped the US and UK charts and earned Swift nominations for six Grammy awards, including album of the year.
In a subsequent thread of tweets, the singer also explained how the record just flowed from the ‘Folklore’ sessions.
