Rachel Zegler will star in a “Hunger Games” prequel.
Confirmation of this comes today from Lionsgate, which says Zegler will star as Lucy Gray Baird in “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”.
According to an article by Variety, the movie takes place decades before Katniss Everdeen’s adventures in “The Hunger Games.”
It centers on a young Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth.
The 18-year-old Snow is chosen to mentor Lucy Gray, the female tribute from the impoverished District 12, during the 10th Hunger Games.
That movie is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2023.
Zegler is best known for her recent role in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story”, while Blyth is has appeared in
