Priyanka Chopra Jonas has finally spoken up regarding blacklash for “The Activist” a show that she is carded to serve on as a judge.

Yesterday, she posted a statement on her verified social media accounts, following reports that CBS, Global Citizen and Live Nation, had decided to change the format of the show.

Instead of having six activists competing in missions, media stunts, digital campaigns and community events, the show will be a “primetime documentary special (air date to be announced). It will showcase the tireless work of six activists and the impact they have advocating for causes they deeply believe in.”

Usher, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Julianne Hough were due to serve as judges, however Hough was previously the only one to issue a statement after the show was condemned as being tone deaf,” “performative” and “awful.”

In her statement posted yesterday, Chopra Jonas said “I have been moved by the power of your voices over the past week. At its core, activism is fueled by cause and effect, and when people come together to raise their voice about something, there is always an effect. You were heard. The show got it wrong, and I’m sorry that my participation in it disappointed many of you.”
