Priyanka Chopra Jonas has spoken about the politics of Bollywood and why she decided to leave there and shift her base to the US.
The actress and businesswoman was a guest of a podcast called Armchair Expert hosted by Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.
Without calling names, she hinted that certain ‘people’ made it difficult for her to operate in the industry.
She claimed that she was being pushed into a corner, with conflict coming up and a lack of role opportunities.
When she was offered a chance to do music in the US, she took up the opportunity and things took off from there.
Priyanka and the hosts also discussed colourism in India, her journey with pay disparity, and on a more positive note, the incredible evolution of Bollywood.
