Nick Mohammed gets another Emmy nomination

UK actor Nick Mohammed, who has Trinbagonian roots, has once again been nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series.

Mohammed portrays Nathan Shelley in hit Apple TV+ series “Ted Lasso” – a role which got him nominated for the same Emmy in 2021.

However, last year’s award went to “Ted Lasso” cast-mate Brett Goldstein who portrays Roy Kent.

This year, Mohammed has another chance to cop the award himself as he has been named as one of eight actors vying for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series.

Nominations were announced today in a virtual ceremony.

Overall, HBO series “Succession” leads the way with 25 nominations, followed by “Ted Lasso” and “The White Lotus” with 20 each, “Hacks” and “Only Murders in the Building” with 17 each and “Euphoria” with 16.

The 74th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Monday, September 12th, 2022.
