Today would have marked 50 years in Bollywood for the late Rishi Kapoor according to his wife, Neetu.
Kapoor, a veteran actor, died in April 2020 at the age of 67, two years after being diagnosed with cancer.
Neetu today posted to Instagram a commemorative photo of Rishi through the years stating that “Mera Naam Joker” – his debut film, was released on this day in 1970.

Kapoor played a young version of Raju the clown in the movie – the adult Raju was portrayed by Rishi’s father, Bollywood stalwart Raj Kapoor.
His final film before his death was 2019’s ‘The Body’ in which he co-starred alongside Emraan Hashmi, Vedhika and Sobhita Dhulipala.
