HBO reveals first images of GoT prequel “House of the Dragon”

The first official images from the “Games of Thrones” prequel series “House of the Dragon” have been unveiled by HBO.

This series is set hundreds of years before the events of GoT and tells the story of House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war.

It will star Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, and Fabien Frankel.

The newly revealed photos show D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen; Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon; and Cooke as Alicent Hightower and Ifans as Otto Hightower.


“House of the Dragon” has been given a 10-episode order and it’s expected to debut in 2022.

The start of production was announced on April 26th 2021.
