Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ reportedly gets green light at Netflix

Guillermo del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ film has reportedly gotten the green light at Netflix.

And, according to a report by Deadline, Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth are in talks to star.

Garfield is known for ‘Hacksaw Ridge and his starring role in the two ‘Amazing Spider-man’ movies, while Isaac is known for his roles in the most recent Star Wars trilogy and the MCU’s ‘Moon Knight’.

Goth has horror experience, with her most recent project being science fiction horror ‘Infinity Pool’.

“Frankenstein” is an iconic 1818 novel by Mary Shelley that is credited as the beginning of the modern science fiction genre.

It has been adapted to film many times and many are anticipating Del Toro’s interpretation of it.

While he has worked on many projects over the years, he has a few dark fantasy and horror films under his belt like ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ , ‘Mimic’ and the recent ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ series on Netflix.
