‘Doctor Who’ to be available on HBO Max in 2020

WarnerMedia has announced that ‘Doctor Who’ will be available on the HBO Max streaming service when it launches in 2020.

It will give subscribers access to 11 seasons of Doctor Who, beginning with the Ninth Doctor episodes that premiered in 2005.

The service will also be home to episodes of “The Office” (starring Ricky Gervais), “Top Gear, “Luther,” “The Honorable Woman” and future seasons of “Doctor Who” after they air on BBC America.

HBO Max’s library of acquired content already includes shows like “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Pretty Little Liars” and “Friends.”

The streaming service also has plans for original content, including a continuation of “Gossip Girl,” a half-hour romantic comedy starring Anna Kendrick and an animated series based off “Gremlins.”
