The classic Christmas film ‘Home Alone’ will be remade by Disney and released on its new streaming service.
The Disney studio’s chairman Bob Iger says there will also be “reimaginations” of Night At the Museum, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cheaper By the Dozen.
Home Alone, starring Macaulay Culkin, was released in 1990, and has been wildly popular around the world, even now.
There are no details yet on who would play the new Kevin McCallister, or the ‘Wet’ bandits, or when the movie will be released.
The Disney exec only said the movie will be a reimagined version for a new generation.
The new Disney streaming service launches in the US in November and other countries afterwards.
