A new three-part documentary investigates the death of actress Jiah Khan.
And it is sure to place even more scrutiny on Bollywood, which has faced mounting pressure following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020.
Jiah was a young Bollywood actress, who was found dead at her home in Mumbai in 2013.
Her death has officially been ruled a suicide, however her mother has continuously claimed that she had been murdered by her boyfriend.
In 2018 a Mumbai court charged him with abetting the actress’ suicide, however the case has not yet been settled.
The BBC Two mini-series called “Death In Bollywood” follows the work of a private investigator, employed by Jiah’s’ family.
It also looks at the mysterious deaths of other Bollywood stars that are still causing outrage among fans.
Many have since taken to social media to applaud the series, which they hope will shed light and bring justice.
