The release of Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie “Laal Singh Chaddha” has been delayed by a year.
The film was initially listed for release in Christmas 2020.
That has now been shifted to Christmas 2021.
The major reason for this is the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has greatly impacted cinemas.
“Laal Singh Chaddha” is based on Tom Hanks “Forrest Gump” and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A number of scenes were shot a few parts of Chandigarh and Kolkata before India’s nationwide lockdown came into effect.
Many meanwhile are not too surprised with the decision to stick with the Christmas period, since Aamir Khan has a long-standing association with the season.
A number of his movies that were released during the Christmas season have been super successful, from “3 Idiots” and “PK” to “Dhoom 3” and “Dangal”.
