A decision to turn away a differently-abled voter during the Local Government Election in December 2019 has been deemed the right move by the EBC.
This is according to Leader of Government Business in the Senate Clarence Rambharat as he responded to the incident today.
He says the elector did not answer questions posed to her on two separate occasions, despite attempts by officials from the voting station and family members.
Mr Rambharat says the EBC agrees with the conclusion drawn by the Presiding Officer following her interaction with the person.
