$656,200 in cash seized from the Drugs Sou Sou will remain with police as a judge has dismissed an application for the money to be returned.
Kerron Clarke made the application for after the currency was taken from his La Horquetta home on August 25th 2020.
This is was first of three seizures made by police – the other two involved $707,500 on September 2nd and $6.4 million on October 27th.
The dismissal of the application came during a virtual hearing today before Magistrate Cheron Raphael.
There were submissions from Clarke’s lawyer Rosario Sookdeo and Financial Investigation Branch Legal Officer, Keston Abraham.
