Driver charged for ‘drifting’ on highway

A drift racer, who posted videos of himself performing maneuvers on the Solomon Hochoy Highway on July 21st, has been charged by police for Dangerous Driving.

The San Fernando resident turned himself in to police on July 25th, where the charge was laid, and he subsequently paid the $3000 fine in the Traffic Court.

The TTPS is urging all sporting drivers to resist racing or speeding on the public roadways.

Police are also pleased that the local racing organization, the T&T Automobile Sports Association quickly condemned the act.
