COVID-19 numbers are slowly increasing according to Epidemiologist Dr Avery Hinds.
Speaking during today’s Health Ministry briefing, Dr Hinds said figures had been plateauing following increases in May and June.
However, with the movement of some sectors returning to work, he said numbers have gone back up over the last three weeks.
Dr Hinds said, while any upward trend is a cause for concern, officials do not want to be preemptive in saying that too much movement is happening too soon.
Two weeks ago, sectors including car dealerships and manufacturing resumed activities while one week ago, food establishments partially resumed sales and there was the restart of outdoor exercise in groups of five.
