A decomposing female fetus was found at the Beetham Landfill yesterday.

According to a Newsday report, Acting Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin confirmed the discovery.

He reportedly said such things were very troubling and unfortunate. Benjamin further advised that no matter the situation, medical attention should be sought at hospitals, where police would also be available to help, if needed.

He said there were also psychological implications, and encouraged people to contact social workers and other groups that could assist.
