COVID: 235 new cases, six deaths; 196 get second dose of vaccine


    There are 235 new COVID cases and six more virus-related deaths.

    In today’s update from the Health Ministry it notes that the victims are two elderly males and one middle aged male, all with comorbidities, and two middle aged males and one middle ages female, all without significant comorbidities.

    Since March 12th 2020, there have been 11,706 cases, 8,832 recoveries and 185 deaths.

    Of the 2,689 active cases, 235 are the new patients, 264 are in hospital including 12 in ICU and 19 in HDU, 36 are in step-down facilities and 2,154 are in home self-isolation.

    There are 227 persons in quarantine facilities.

    Meanwhile, as at 4pm today 51,283 persons have received their first dose of the vaccine while 196 have now gotten their second dose and are fully inoculated.
