COVID-19 deaths jump to 101; T&T records 59 new cases


    The COVID-19 death toll has surpassed the century-mark, as three additional fatalities take the count to 101.

    According to the Health Ministry’s 4PM update, the victims are an elderly male and an elderly female with pre-existing medical conditions and a female.

    Meanwhile, 59 new cases have been confirmed, 10 persons have been discharged and 64 persons from home-isolation have recovered.

    This means, active cases stand at 1,459 and since the beginning of the pandemic, 5,392 total positives have been recorded in T&T.

    The ministry says 75 persons are hospitalized (4 in ICU and 10 in HDU) while another 1,334 are in home isolation.
