Court grants police order to detain more of Pastor’s money

Police have been granted permission to detain millions of dollars more seized by a Longdenville Pastor.

The Trinidad Express reported that a Magistrate granted the application to police to hold onto some $2.6 million found at his church last week.

Police had already received an order to detain over $28 million from the Pastor, as he attempted to exchange the old 100 dollar notes.

According to the report, the monies will be placed in an interest-bearing account, and if it is found that no laws were breached, the monies including the interest will be returned.
