A councillor is refuting a newspaper report and insisting that no one was fired in the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation.
A release from Nassar Hosein, who is also the Chairman of the Personnel Committee at the corporation, has been issued following the report of the rescinding of several contracts.
However, Mr Hosein says no one was fired but instead the majority team ensured that the proper legal process will be followed in hiring temporary employees going forward.
He also assures UNC Councillors and Aldermen are creating a transparent process for allocating temporary employment to the people of Sangre Grande.
He claims the old system is one of corruption but says UNC councillors at the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation will continue to demand transparency and accountability.
