Contact tracing is underway in Tobago in connection with COVID-19 case #139.
Yesterday the CMO revealed that the patient in question had contact with family members, and due to the movements of these contacts, two branches of Pennywise had to be temporarily closed.
Speaking during today’s media conference, Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram confirmed, other contacts in this case also travelled to Tobago.
He says while tests so far have returned negative, they will continue to be monitored.
The CMO also revealed that while the contacts of case #139 have tested negative, monitoring for all will continue.
Meanwhile the West Mall Branch of Republic Bank has been closed and workers will be swabbed, after the child of an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
This case, confirmed yesterday evening, is case #141.
