Compensation for more Tobago landowners for Airport Terminal project


    Approval has been given to pay 12 more property owners in Tobago, for land that will be used in the construction of the new Airport Terminal.

    According to a release from the Finance Ministry, 41 property owners have so far negotiated and settled with the State at a total cost of approximately $58 million.

    The compensations are for 8.7 acres of the 53 acres of land required for the project, including two commercial, nine residential and three mixed (home business) properties.

    The Ministry adds that NIDCO is continuing to issue compensation payments on behalf of the State, through its Land Acquisition Consultant, ACQ & Associates.

    Property owners who are yet to start the negotiation and settlement process are encouraged to contact ACQ and Associates at 723-7475 / 342-8086 to make appointments for negotiation meetings.
