The community search for two missing fishermen in the Gulf of Paria has been called off.
19 year old Justin Kissoon and 30 year old Jason Baptiste have been missing since July 22nd, when they and several other fishermen were thrown into the sea by bandits who stole their boats.
Since then, their fishing colleagues have played a major role in search operations.
103FM News spoke with President of the Carli Bay Fishing Association Imtiaz Khan, who said the decision to end their search operation was based on several factors.
It is still not clear if the Coast Guard will continue its search operations.
Meanwhile a walk will be held from 7am tomorrow in a bid to raise assistance for the fishing community.
