In light of new advice from the WHO against lockdowns, T&T’s Chief Medical Officer says the country will continue to act based on the state of the virus.

Dr Roshan Parasram, at this morning’s Health Ministry briefing, responded to the statement that lockdowns should not be the primary control method.

He notes that most sectors are in state of being open but that restrictions will be based on data.

Meanwhile, Dr Parasram spoke to one aspect of the restrictions – the mandatory wearing of masks.

He says some persons continue to leave one of their most vulnerable pathways exposed.
