A recent upsurge in cases in countries with moderate to high COVID-19 risk has reduced the possibility of easing repatriation requirements.

This is according to Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram who spoke this morning at the Health Ministry’s media briefing.

His statement comes as T&T nationals abroad continue to complain about the repatriation process.

However, Dr Parasram said there are different strains of the virus being recorded across the world and this too has played a part the state’s approach.
