Facilities where COVID-19 swabs can be done usually close for the weekend – this, according to the Chief Medical Officer, is part of the reason why there were no new cases on Monday.

The update at 4pm on November 2nd noted that no additional positives were recorded in the 24 hours prior.

At Wednesday’s Health Ministry’s briefing, Dr Roshan Parasram explained the factors behind the occurrence.

Dr Parasram says officials will continue to use the weekly average of new cases to determine how much the virus is spreading in T&T.
