China to hand over motorcycle fleet to TTPS

    China will hand over a fleet of motorcycles to this country’s Government for use by the Police Service.

    An official ceremony will be held at 10am on Wednesday, and will be attended by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, National Security Minister Stuart Young, China’s Ambassador His Excellency Song Yumin.

    Also attending will be Chief of Defence Staff Air Commodore Darryl Daniel and Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith.

    The handover will take place at the Police Academy, Samaan Drive, St. James.

    Also on Wednesday, the Police Service will hold a Passing Out Parade for 98 officers of Squads A to D, Batch 1 of 2019.

    This event is also scheduled to take place at the Police Academy, from 4pm.
